A large-scale project is starting in Burgas — the construction of the Southern Bypass of the city. This section will become part of the important republican highway "Checkpoint Durankulak — Burgas — Checkpoint Malko Tarnovo" and is designed to relieve the center of transit traffic, especially during the tourist season. The first stage will begin in June 2025 and will last a year and a half, with full implementation expected by 2030.
The project is strategically important for the region: it will improve logistics, increase traffic safety and strengthen the international transport network. The Southern Bypass will become a convenient alternative for residents and visitors of the city, speed up traffic and reduce the load on city streets.
The implementation of the project is supported by the municipality, a construction contract has already been signed, and infrastructure and road schemes are being prepared. The new bypass is not just a road, but an important step towards the sustainable development of Burgas and the entire Black Sea region.
