This year, the events dedicated to Nesebar Day will be held for 5 days in a row - from August 13 to 17. There will be all sorts of interesting events designed for a very different audience.
On August 14 at 16:00 in the seaport of Nesebar there will be a ceremonial meeting of the ship "Saints Cyril and Methodius", which under the command of Captain 2nd Rank Nikolay Danailov successfully completed a scientific research mission on the coldest continent. At 19:00 there will be a traditional religious procession with the miraculous icon of the Mother of God of Nesebar, which will be taken out for worship outside the walls of the Assumption Church.
The culmination of the festive events is August 15 - Nesebar Day. The celebrations will begin with the Holy Liturgy in the Assumption Church at 9:00, and at 10:30 the ceremony of raising the national flag in front of the fortress walls will take place. At 18:00 in the South Park there will be a fun children's party with the participation of the artists of the "Balkan Circus".
From 20:30 on the Julieta Shishmanova Square in the New Town there will be a concert of the singer Georgiy Dyulgerov. In Old Nessebar at 21:00 lovers of folk rhythms will be able to enjoy a concert of the folklore ensemble "Chinari" in the amphitheater "Zhany Chimbuleva". At the same time, a concert of the popular Greek singer Trendafilos will take place near the fortress wall. The holiday will end with a drone show, a light show and a pyromusical performance.
On August 16 at 21:00 in Old Nessebar there will be a concert with the participation of famous artists Dara, Torino and Pashata, 100 kilos and B.T.R.
The last day of the festive events - August 17 - will end with a Christian concert-performance "Harbor of Salvation" in the amphitheater "Zhan Chimbuleva". The event will begin at 20:00.
On August 15 and 16 in Old Nessebar there will be temporary traffic restrictions: from 20:00 to 00:30, car traffic will be stopped on the isthmus and throughout the entire territory of the old part of the city.
